Are you a licensed hairstylist (or soon to be licensed hairstylist) interested in joining our team at Badlands Hair Studio? WOOHOO! We look forward to hearing from you. There are a few things to know before filling out our application:
We are an employee-based salon, not booth rent. We believe this helps foster greater team culture, an enhanced client experience, and allows each stylist to focus solely on their craft instead of worrying about their biz.
Continuing education is expected, not encouraged. Whether you’ve been in the game for 2 months or 20 years, we are looking for stylists who continually strive for growth.
Instagram accounts are a must. If you don’t have one yet, go make one… and THEN apply. We’re not looking for a robust amount of hair photos or a perfectly curated page, but we DO want to see what types of hair services you enjoy doing and that you can effectively market yourself online. #InstagramIsTheModernDayHairPortfolio
We do things a bit differently than your average hair studio. Between the ammonia-free hair color, clean product lines, hourly pricing model, heavy emphasis on inclusivity, and mandatory pre-service client consultations,.. we want team members who are genuinely stoked to adopt these new-age salon practices.
