Keely Scott (she/her)
Apprentice— $70/hourSeeking a stylist who has a great attention to detail and passion for making anyone that sits in her chair feel affirmed? Keely’s your human. Her openness and charismatic nature will automatically make you feel welcomed and taken care of. She’s always striving to improve her craft to create the most relaxing, custom experience for all of her clients. When not at the studio, you can find this local Bendite snowboarding, taking nature walks, or curling up with her cat Penelope at home with a good book.
Specialities: lived in colors, and custom cuts.

Sarah Burhart (she/her)
Apprentice— $70/hourFun fact, Sarah was the very first employee at Badlands when we opened back in 2022! You might recognize her from the many roles she has taken on at the salon. We warmly welcome her back in her new role as a stylist! Her strive for excellence in learning technical skills, and friendly personality will have you laughing in her chair and calling her your BFF in no time. When she’s not slaying hair, find her working out, hosting get togethers at her house, or hanging with her family and pups!
Specialities: high impact blonding, and thick hair textures.

Amanda Craig (she/her)
Stylist— $80/hourAmanda is one of those people that can get along with just about anyone. Her laid back demeanor and sense of attentiveness will immediately put you at ease. She is driven to constantly improve her craft, and we're stoked to have her at Badlands! Prior to chasing her lifelong dream of becoming a hairstylist, she was working in Optometry for 20 years. When not behind the chair, you can find Amanda spending quality time and binge watching tv shows with her two kids and husband.
Specialities: natural hair colors, and long layered cuts.

Karl Yates (she/her)
Stylist— $80/hourLooking for a hairstylist who’s creative, down to earth, and ultra calming? You’re in luck, because Karl’s that kind of human. Her passions behind the chair include fun alternative cuts (think shags, pixies, bixies, mullets) and anything cut with a razor. When Karl’s not crafting fun hair at Badlands you can find her thrifting for art at local shops or enjoying the outdoors with her two kiddos.
Specialties: shags/bixies/pixies, alternative short cuts, and razor cutting.

Kiersten Rowles (she/her)
Stylist— $80/hourMeet Kiersten! Despite being a travel bug, this born and raised Bendite has settled back here in Central Oregon to live out her dream as a hairdresser / curl specialist. Kiersten loves being able to connect with individuals one-on-one in order to make their hair goals a reality, and is always down for a creative haircut challenge! When she’s not in the studio you can find her camping at the coast and cooking meals over a campfire, or grooving it out with friends from the ecstatic dance community.
Specialties: curly textures, balayage, alternative haircuts, and razor cutting.

Corey Waller (she/her)
Stylist— $90/hourPrior to becoming an apprentice at Badlands Hair Studio, Corey was a medic in the Navy for 6 years followed by a career in social work. We think Corey’s past professions are not only rad but explain her hard work ethic, caring spirit, and determination to excel at her craft. Plus, her momma was a hairdresser for 15 years… So hairdressing is in her genes. When Corey’s not in the studio you can find this native Idahoan hiking with her husband and three doggos.
Specialties: short clipper/scissor cuts and vivid hair colors.

Wendy Wagner (she/her)
Stylist— $100/hourEvery once in a while you stumble across a hairstylist who is naturally gifted at an array of creative mediums, and Wendy is one of those stylists. This abstract painter and former graphic designer brings the perfect blend of creativity and attention to detail to Badlands, and we’re lucky to have this artist on our team. When she’s not in the studio you can find her taking boxing classes or spending quality time with her husband and two kiddos.
Specialties: balayage, blonding, natural hair colors, and precision cuts.

Kaylynn Cornelius (she/her)
Stylist— $90/hourThis Oregon native has been hard at work raising a family while chasing her childhood dream of being a hairstylist. Kaylynn’s joyous attitude and kind spirit are bound to make anyone feel comfortable in her chair. When not in the studio you can find this self-proclaimed foodie in one of Bend’s amazing restaurants or traveling around the state with her family of three.
Specialties: blonding/lightening services, precision haircutting, and special event styling.

Lylly von Hurst (she/her)
Stylist— $80/hourLylly is the perfect blend of social, easy-going, professional, and efficient. She takes her craft seriously and has a blast while doing it : ) This inherently creative stylist loves MULLETS and vivid hair colors, shaved undercuts, and working with natural textures. She’s also known for her stellar scalp massages. When Lylly’s outside the studio you can catch her acting/performing in local projects.
Specialties: mullets, razor cutting, curly haircutting/styling, and vivid colors + designs.

Jonaé Schoen (she/her)
Stylist— $100/hourYou know those humans who make you feel like a million bucks immediately after meeting them? Yup… that’s Jonae : ) Plus, her drive to become the best at what she does is unlike any other stylist we’ve met in Bend. In addition to technical abilities Jonae will make sure you’re well taken care of from consultation to finished style. When she’s not behind the chair you can find her spending time with her little one Sylas, or dancing in the kitchen while making cajun food.
Specialties: haircutting for curly, wavy, thick + fine hair textures, creative hair coloring, and razor cutting.

Luke Moore (he/him)
Stylist— $110/hourLuke’s calm, cool, and collected demeanor makes every hair service he does a super relaxing one, and he strives to create a welcoming space for our LGBTQ+ clientele. His perfectionist side is always striving for excellence (#DreamTraits), whether it’s a clean clipper cut or a blended balayage. When Luke’s not doing hair you can find him working on his drawings or watching RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Specialties: dimensional brunettes and short clipper/scissor cuts.

Heather Moore (Greene) (she/her)
Salon Owner*CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS*
Heather is a hairstylist of 17+ years and former Portlandian who moved to Bend with the hopes of bringing a new kind of salon (i.e. clean, sustainable, inclusive) to town. Badlands is the result of this long-awaited intention. As a clean hair care advocate and educator, Heather is on a mission to create the salon experience that so many health/environmentally conscious Bendites have been waiting for.
She’s recently pivoted from being behind the chair to focusing on hair education for conscious and inclusive ambitious hairstylists and salon owners.

McKensie Lui (she/her)
Salon ManagerMcKensie is the puzzle piece that completes our team at Badlands. Her motivation to thrive and expertise from running her own small business here in Bend make her the hardworking manager you will come to know and love.
When she’s not at the studio you can find her taking long nature walks with her husband and two dogs or hunting for vintage finds for her clothing business Articles of Thrift.

Abby Van Order (they/them)
Salon CoordinatorEveryone meet Abby! They’re relatively new to town, and love discovering all the fun Bend has to offer. They’re currently in tailoring school with the hopes of one day creating custom clothes that make everyone feel affirmed and amazing.
During their down time you can find them curled up with their cats (Beastie + Gremlin) and a good book.
